Fimbo Youth Initiative is a dynamic youth and women-led Community Based Organization empowering marginalized communities through good governance, economic justice, and ending gender-based violence.
Founded in 2015 in Kilifi County — driven by social justice and the empowerment of those marginalized by poverty and exclusion.
Fimbo Youth Initiative (FYI) is a dynamic youth and women-led Community Based Organization established in 2015 in Kilifi County, Kenya. The organization is driven by a commitment to advocate for social justice, focusing on the empowerment of girls, women, and young people marginalized by poverty and exclusion.
FYI hosts the Activista youth social movement network, which works with 3,500 individual youth and 50 youth-affiliated groups across Kilifi County. The network supports advocacy initiatives, capacity building, and policy work on governance, livelihoods, climate justice, and challenging gender-based violence.
